    proper documents to prepare for their appointments.

  • Receives and reviews all incoming
    mail and correspondence.

  • Screens visitors and all telephone
    calls, finding out the nature of calls and appointment requests.

  • Schedules meetings and reserves
    conference rooms for administrative boards.

  • Draft reports involving clients
    who are conflicted with scheduled clients.

  • Reviews and files incoming
    instructions and directives in relation with the legal office.

  • Maintains current Naval Academy
    instructions with regard to the administrative Honor and Conduct
    systems.

  • Facilitates the midshipmen
    resignation process of the Naval Academy

  • Maintenance of records and
    attorney case files by purging and shredding.

  • Maintains the attorney’s
    calendar and arranges appointments with the client.

  • Assists in the daily operations of
    the Naval Legal Service Office.

  • Reviews and edits outgoing
    correspondence for accuracy.

  • Provides information about the
    office to visitors.

  • Prepares a case files for every
    client and enter them in our tracking database (CMTIS)

  • Periodically perform legal
    research using LEXIS/NEXIS.

  • Works independently on a variety
    of assignments with little supervision.

  • Communicates effectively with
    senior officers and staff.
