Purchasing Agent - Dietary - Full Time - 6am-2:30pm

Position Objective:
Works with Food Services Director to organize, schedule, execute daily departmental activities including entire purchasing system function, and contract management, group purchasing, vendor relations, inventory management, cost containment, quality improvement, and customer service.
Essential Job Duties:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Orders items needed based on appropriate stock levels and current inventory to maintain an appropriate inventory level of meats, dairy products, bread, dry goods, produce, frozen food, and cleaning supplies.
Includes special items required for catering and/or the cafeteria in normal orders.
Establishes appropriate stock levels for all items purchased.
Writes purchase orders for all items ordered.
Maintains the monthly invoice tally, vendor shortage report, hospitality shop bill, purchasing exception review log and list of all good purchased with current prices.
Maintains computer information on all commodities purchased.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Associates degree in Business Administration preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Two years of hospital supply chain experience preferred.

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical Demands - HeavyHeavy work.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
