COMPUTER SCIENTIST

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:
Providing expertise in the use and modification of Windows and Linux operating systems and servers. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Troubleshooting computer systems/operating systems and software in order to maintain operability or to develop solutions to problems; 2) Installing, supporting, maintaining and modifying existing vendor supplied operating systems; 3) Plan and develop work process changes for systems and equipment supported; 4) Providing informal and formal instruction to users regarding new or modified software or operating systems; 5) Providing expertise in the use and modification of Windows and Linux operating systems and servers. NOTE:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
