Key Functions
-Apply knowledge of network architectures, networking, and security technologies to protect and defend U.S. government systems and networks.
-Develop, document and implement improved architectures, solutions, techniques, and procedures.
-Support the development of new and improved systems using cross domain technologies.
-Work with small teams to identify, research, design, and develop solutions to address MITRE sponsors? CDS challenges.
-Work with a variety of security architectures and technology focus areas.
-Perform CDS tradeoff analyses, selection, and assess designs/implementations to address functional gaps.
-Engage with technical experts within MITRE and from the UCDSMO, DISA, NSA, USCYBERCOM, IC agencies, CDS vendors, and the CDS user community to identify and resolve cross domain information sharing and security challenges.
Candidate must be able to collaborate with government contractors; work in multidisciplinary teams; conduct project planning and execution; build trusted relationship; analyze existing processes, roles, organizational structures; and support applications to identify and recommend improvements in processes, organizations, and technologies.

Required Skills:
TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
.Programming experience in Python or similar languages
Strong knowledge of advanced cyber threats and adversary methodologies.
Experience with Big Data and development of analytics
Ability to evaluate IT environments and identify security goals, vulnerabilities, objectives, and requirements.
Interest in the application of technology to problem solving.
Familiarity with security-relevant data, including TCP/IP network protocols, application layer protocols (e.g. HTTP, SMTP, DNS etc.), and security-relevant host and network logs.
Understanding of Cyber Security engineering as applied to architectures such as cloud environments and virtualized systems.
Ability to work and lead by example in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials.
Team oriented
Experience working in support of a cyber-security operations center.
Excellent writing and communication skills are required
Excellent time management skills to support multiple projects
Ability to lead a small team of 5-10 people, providing work direction, tracking deliverables, managing a small budget. Expect effective project communications with both customer and upper level internal management. Expected to determine customer requirements and generate work statements.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert across internal organizations, sharing expertise and leading multiple efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
-Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and their application.
-Knowledge of enterprise and network security concepts and solutions.
-Knowledge of programming languages, databases, Internet networking, and enterprise architectures.
-Ability to work with others to solve challenging technical problems.
-Ability to build relationships with government sponsors.
-Systems and security engineering experience, including requirements analysis and system architecture design
-Experience with applying security engineering throughout the system engineering lifecycle, including security architecture, software security, intrusion detection, and defensive countermeasures.
-Experience with leading and performing computer security research.
-Must be comfortable leading a team, performing technical reviews, coordinating with other reviewers as appropriate and leveraging relationships to benefit the work program.
-Demonstrated knowledge of CDS technologies
-Knowledge of CDS policies and approval processes
-Excellent communication, writing and briefing skills.
Minimum Education/ Experience BS and 8 years related experience.
Travel Statement This position will require overnight travel up to 10 % of the time as well as some local travel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
