Responsibilities:
The Chief Engineer manages all engineering matters related to production engineering, classroom design, and is knowledgeable in digital video distribution systems as well. Advises management on life-cycle costs of equipment, assists in ASDP planning, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of classroom equipment, and supervises the inventory of equipment. The Chief Engineer is also responsible for maintaining work request database and for serving as the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) Point-Of-Contact on issues relating to computer networking and maintenance for equipment.
Qualifications/Experience:
Position requires five years specialized experience in any of the following areas: audio-visual hardware, video production, video distribution, or classroom equipment maintenance, or may substitute a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in instructional design or educational technology or related fields for two years of experience.
Three years experience in video production, multi-media production, academic instructional technology service or video distribution.
Bachelor's degree in commercial art or multimedia design or a related field and at least two years of specialized graphic arts experience. This degree must be from an accredited college or university.
In lieu of the bachelor's degree, the Graphic Artist shall have at least three years of graphics support experience in a college or university. The experience could include specialized audiovisual graphic arts, multimedia creation, and presentation authoring experience.
Certified to program in one of the modern audiovisual control systems such as Extron, Crestron and AMX systems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
