Job Summary:

3M HIS is excited about building relationships with healthcare industry associations and thought leaders so that we can position 3M as a leader in information technology, value based care and population health and expand our business
We are seeking to not only deepen our current relationships, but also wish to expand our portfolio of groups and thought leaders in HIT, HIM, population health value based care and primary care
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic professional with health industry expertise who is experienced in relationship development with industry and professional leaders, medical associations, thought leadership development
We wish to build partnerships with health policy think tanks, academic centers, and health associations
This individual will have a platform for representing 3M HIS at national healthcare meetings, participate in expert panel discussion and serve on committees, representing 3M HIS
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
The Manager of Professional Relations provides leadership, planning and oversight of 3M HIS' professional relations initiatives within the Healthcare sector
Identify, develop and execute research projects, whitepapers, and industry presentations to advance 3M's positioning as an industry leader in Healthcare
The individual will share key insights and learnings from meetings, collaborations, projects and conferences, with 3M HIS colleagues, particularly those in marketing, sales and appropriate subject matter teams
Responsible for building and managing relationships with select healthcare industry partners, academics, policy think tanks
In addition, the Director of Professional Relations is responsible for generating relationship leads for the specific purpose of expanding 3M relationships with C-Suite executives
Provides marketing advice and consults with leadership team to set and execute short-term strategic direction and operating plans for the area of professional relations and thought leadership
Determines directions, priorities and assigns resources with full accountability for results of functional area
Responsible for establishing and managing budget for professional relations including appropriate market research to identify thought leaders and key professional organizations in area of population's health, primary care, value based care, accountable care
Also will identify and define market/product/account opportunities with professional organization that will help meet 3MHIS sales and growth objectives
Develops and leads implementation of all aspects of the professional relations development and marketing plan
This individual will be responsible for negotiating partnerships and projects with professional organizations and associations
The Director of Professional Relations will work closely with 3M's Senior VP of Marketing, Sales and Client Operations, Director of Marketing Operations and the Director of Marketing Communications to identify and execute thought leadership strategies

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum of seven or more (7+) years of experience working with industry trade groups and associations within healthcare
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in public health, health policy, business, health administration, public policy from an accredited university
Experience working with leading healthcare professional organizations, knowledge of how to build partnerships and identify opportunities for joint projects with major healthcare organizations such as associations and member groups that will help optimize the 3M brand
Knowledge of principles of health care delivery and financing; understand the health system and its challenges/pain points; knowledge of how health care is paid for and basic health insurance principles re: Medicaid and Medicare
Basic understanding of public health, health policy, statistics and importance of healthcare data in driving quality and cost of care
Ability to speak as a peer with industry experts at various conferences/meetings
Good presentation skills with experience giving talks to large audiences. Knowledge of health information technology a plus.
Location: (Remote) near a major airport
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
