Key Functions
The Telecom Transport Engineer will support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in the analysis and optimization of operations and sustainment for the DoD global transport infrastructure. Key functions include analysis of current architectures and performance, thought leadership on technology advancements to improve performance and/or reduce operational costs, recommendations on acquisition program options/benefits and the DISA strategy for infrastructure sustainment and evolution.

Bachelor of Science degree in a Communications Engineering related discipline and 5-10 years of experience in a commercial service provider environment as either a design engineer or service/resource problem management engineer.
Experience is required in one or more of the following areas:
? Transport architecture analysis and evolution strategy including, but not limited to: optical transport, routing and switching technologies (IP/MPLS), leased circuit aggregation/optimization and capacity management and expansion planning
? Infrastructure performance modeling, simulation, monitoring and analysis
? Network component/device test, evaluation, market analysis, and business case preparation
? Network timing and synchronization distribution, performance, reliability and availability analysis
? Operations Support Systems (OSS) integration and related IT service management frameworks, performance assessment metrics and methodologies
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required for interaction with customers, project leaders, team members, and other government stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science degree and 10-15 years of experience are preferred, along with experience in two or more of the areas described above.
Minimum Education/ Experience BS and 8 years related experience.
Travel Statement This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time as well as some local travel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
