Basic qualifications:Bachelors Degree Engineering (Electrical / Chemical / Mechanical) or other Technical Degree (Computer / Bio-technology) w/relevant experience
7 ? 10 years experience in a process control function
At minimum, familiarity with several of the following: Emerson DeltaV DCS, Allen-Bradley SLC / ControlLogix, Siemens Apogee BAS, GE Unicorn, S-88 Batch
Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot using P&IDs and electrical and control schematics.
Understanding of process controls principles for equipment, instrumentation, and networks and the ability to troubleshoot automation related problems
Preferred qualifications:General understanding of equipment, utilities and processes used in the biotech industry
Hardware and software experience with Distributed Control (DeltaV), PLCs (A.B. PLC5 / SLC / Logix), OITs (PanelView), Building Automation (Apogee), Chromatography (Unicorn), VFDs (A.B. / Siemens)
Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and recommend improvements
Capable of maintaining system life cycle documentation (Drawings, Design Files, FRS, SDDS, etc).
Experience managing projects, budgets, scoping, design, and implementation.
Experience implementing system changes in a GMP environment.
Capable of occasional supervision of the activities of contractors
Experience validating computerized systems including protocol generation and execution
Experience working with industrial controls (24vdc, 120vac). Specify, install, checkout and troubleshoot.
Understanding of industrial electrical codes (70), safe work practices (70E) and machine safety (79).

The Engineering Operations group provides technical engineering and project management services for manufacturing, building and utility equipment to support operations, validation and capital projects. The Process Control Department is a specialized group within engineering responsible for plant automation, process control, data management, and system life-cycle documentation. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Process Controls support of Manufacturing operations for operational cGMP biologics production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
? Automation support of Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Autoclaves, Glass washers, UF skids, Chromatography skids, Air Handling Units, WFI stills, Chillers, Reverse Osmosis skids etc.
? Engineer solutions and manage projects involving retrofits, optimization and acquisition of process systems
? Manage several projects simultaneously to quality, budget and schedule constraints
? Assist in resolving technical issues with automation problems and support investigation as required
? Provide system administration duties for automated systems.
? Work with other manufacturing support groups to implement and maintain automation systems, execute projects and communicate the status to operations
? Support system life-cycle documentation for automated control systems, such as, Functional Requirements Specification (FRS), System Detailed Design Specification (SDDS) and control wiring diagrams)
? Develop engineering specifications, policies and procedures
? Trained as an L1 Auditor and participate in >25% of department?s L1 Inspections.
? Creates and implements corporate (across all campuses) engineering policies, procedures, guidelines and SOP?s
? Maintain and document all cGMP equipment/system modifications and upgrades through approved change control methods

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
