Computer Scientist (Government)

The candidate will add new features that require design/code improvements to analytic tools (existing application). Code will be developed in C and C++.
A TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required (CCA not acceptable)
The candidate must have recent (within the last 5 years) development experience as follows:
A minimum of 5 years SW development experience (BS degree in CS can be substituted for 2 years), and a minimum of 4 years' experience with designing, coding, testing, and debugging software to run under either Microsoft Windows (XP or later) or UNIX (Solaris 8 or later, Redhat LINUX) Operating System. It is required that the candidate have strong background experience with C, C++ and Linux. A familiarity with Postgres and Elasticsearch Relational Databases is preferred as well. Previous experience in writing SQL statements in code to read from/insert into database is needed as well as an understanding of database tables and how to add extra fields to tables.
Preferred Qualifications include knowledge of GUI interfacing (but the position will not do GUI development), and knowledge of MySQL database as well.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
