Key Functions
The position will support the Depart of Defense (DoD) in IP network performance and root cause analysis as well as architecture evolution across the DoD Information Network (DODIN). Key functions include leadership of technical teams investigating performance issues, assessing root cause and recommending solutions, evaluation of interdependencies across multiple programs implementing network level services and functions, modeling and simulation to validate candidate solutions, coordination with operations and program staff to implement changes in architecture and configuration to ensure the network meets users performance requirements.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in a Communications Engineering related discipline and 5-10 years of experience as either researcher or architect/engineer in large scale enterprise IP networks including domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
a) Experience in performance analysis, modeling and simulation of large-scale enterprise networks across OSI layers 1 through 4. Experience should include direct involvement in root cause analysis, test and validation of changes to address the issue and implementation.
b) Experience in network operations and management, administration, maintenance, provisioning, and general lifecycle sustainment of enterprise IP networks. Experience should include responsibility for defining performance metrics and collection and analysis of operational status of the network and performance assessment relative to service level agreements.
c) Experience with protocol analysis of key enterprise services to include Domain Name Services, enterprise email, routing, element management and transport layer control.
d) Experience in traffic engineering and traffic flow management techniques, in particular around internet/enterprise interface points. Experience with the use of network function virtualization to address dynamic network traffic flow management is also desired.
e) Hands-on laboratory and/or deployment experience with the components, subsystems, effects, techniques, and processes mentioned above.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required for interaction with customers, project leaders, team members, and other government stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and 10-15 years of experience are required for Level 4, along with experience in two or more of the areas described above.
Minimum Education/ Experience BS and 8 years related experience.
Travel Statement This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time as well as some local travel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
