NOTE: No relocation required. Prospective candidates must reside within an hour from a major international airport. Candidates must be Argentinean Nationals or already having a work permit allowing them to work without restriction in Argentina
Granite is looking for a qualified site manager to lead the installation, commission and operation of General Electric aero derivative Gas turbines, ( LM 2500, LM6000, LMS100), to be installed and commissioned anywhere in the world. The site manager reports
to project manager on Turnkey and Extended Scope Power Plant Projects worldwide. Selected candidate will be responsible for start-up testing, performance testing, and troubleshooting on plant systems and equipment which includes reviewing plant engineering
documents and P&ID?s.
+ Provide overall leadership to aggressively drive execution of all site activities (Construction & Commissioning).
+ Achieve project requirements including cost, schedule and performance.
+ Serve as Customer focal point on project sites and manage GE subcontractors or partner contract to ensure success.
+ Manage and administer all GE subcontracts and partnership.
+ Manage GE Energy resources on site and interface with headquarters. Ensure customer service and satisfaction.
+ Ensure strict EHS and quality processes are implemented.
+ Maintain accurate assessment of site performance and proactively take action as required.
+ Foster a team environment to facilitate success.
+ Utilize Six Sigma, process discipline and digitization tools to optimize site performance.
+ Directs TAs and local craftsmen under his supervision in support of start-up testing activities.
+ Supervise customer operators during the operation of systems prior to and after they are put into service.
+ Develop start-up procedures, start-up schedules, and site-specific start-up documentation.
+ Attend daily start-up meetings to coordinate activities in a safe manner while interfacing with other personnel involved in the project such as Electrical controls, construction, operations, owner, engineering, and vendors.
+ Oversees third party testing of applicable equipment.
+ Ensures lockout and tag-out procedures and all other safety-related activities are maintained.
+ Provide scheduling and status reports to project manager.
+ Maintain start-up packages, controlled drawings, and applicable project records.
+ Address activities during performance testing emissions testing, and reliability testing.
+ Work with owner?s representatives to maintain the start-up schedule.
+ Procurement and maintaining of spare parts and consumables required for testing of electrical systems.QUALIFICATIONS
+ Minimum 10 years? experience in field management on large power plants.
+ Minimum 5 years? experience as Site Manager on large power plant projects.
+ Minimum 4 year technical degree.
+ At least 1 year of Direct Construction and Commissioning management experience.
+ Minimum of 1 year technical experience on Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and power plants.
+ Familiarity with GE Energy operating functions.
+ Technical expertise in power plant Construction & Commissioning.
+ Demonstrated leadership and management skills which have resulted in successful projects.
+ Aggressive approach and drive in Construction and Commissioning management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
+ Fluent in English and Spanish
+ Must have experience doing field work within the power generation industry
+ Sound experience working with GE Aeroderivative Gas Turbines ( lm2500, lm6000, Lms100)
+ Able to understand and implement technical procedures
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Strong computer skills
+ International experience.
+ Expertise in Field EHS and Quality Procedures.
+ Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks.
+ International experience.
+ Contract administration skillsPHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must be able and willing to work weekly schedules that are not uniform on a day-to-day basis

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
