SUMMARY
The Field Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will provide leadership and direction to the assigned project. Lead the push on site to monitor, manage and achieve EHS goals and commitments. Exercise means to reduce overall I&I rates as well as Workers
Compensation costs. Act as a Granite Spokesperson, as required, by clearly articulating, orally and in writing, EHS ?added-value? services and capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and maintain an effective Accident Prevention Program in support of Granite Service?s Zero Tolerance Safety goals.Ensure that supervisors and all other employees of Granite Services Inc., are informed of EHS policies and procedures and current state, local, international (where applicable) and federal standards.Be proactive in approach by staying abreast of and communicating the latest safety trends.Be prepared for unannounced audits and inspections.Travel to jobsites to conduct safety audits and training. Establish a good rapport with site supervision. Take responsibility for the set up and maintenance of the Site Safety Plan.Deliver any company/client job-specific training when needed / requested.Manage OHSA incident and injury reporting within specified OHSA guidelines within you scope of site activities. Conduct timely and accurate follow-up investigations. Assist with the management the Workers? Compensation Program within your scope of Granite
Services Inc.Place orders for safety equipment and coordinate arrival/storage/distribution with Warehouse personnel.Issue forms necessary for effective documentation of safety efforts throughout your site.Develop Safety Task Assignment Cards for STA/JSA/ Risk assessment training.Certify/recertify operators. Maintain an updated Operator Certification Documentation.Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Excellent EHS service skillsExcellent communication and management skills, a high level of organizational ability, and demonstrate leadership ability through strategic decision-makingPossess troubleshooting, problem solving, and creative/innovative thought processing skillsStrong presentation skills utilizing PowerPoint for presentations to employees.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of employees.Understand office formats and procedures, including Microsoft Office Suite and InternetExposure to both Field and Office environments and the ability to interact effectively in both.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:Must have one to two years of electrical background.Must have a valid driver's license.Must be able to pass drug test.Must be able to pass background investigation.Must be able to comprehend and retain the provided safety training and be able to follow safety procedures at all times.Successful COMPLETION of the climb test and tower rescue training.MUST be able to climb a 300 foot wind tower, walk across hub and repel off a wind tower (in case of an emergency).Must demonstrate proper use of PPE at all times i.e. hard hats, steel toe boots, gloves, climbing gear, lanyards/lad safe and harness
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Successful COMPLETION of the climb test and tower rescue training. Candidates MUST be able to climb a 260 foot wind tower, walk across hub and in the event of an emergency repel off. The ladders which you will be using are safety tested to a maximum limit
of 300 pounds which includes tools/backpack weighing up to 50 lbs.Must be comfortable working at heights of 260 to 300 feet.Must be comfortable working in confined space(s).Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.Must be able to see and move throughout site in order to resolve work problems and facilitate processes; repetitive motion activities are involved.Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. (i.e. Desert in the summer and freezing conditions in the winter)A PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE STARTING THE JOB.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in a Safety related curriculum, or the equivalent in training and experience with a minimum of 5 years in an EHS management related position in construction, power generation or technical industry (progressively more responsibility ? i.e. specialist,
administrator, manager). Certifications such as OSHA 500, OSHA 510, CSST, CSSM, CHST, OHST, ASP, and CSP not required but strongly recommended. Field experience not required but strongly recommended.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
