Overview of Job Function:
The Vice President, Product Engineering will lead the overall product engineering function for the Fraud and Authentication group. The role is responsible for new Software Development, Quality Assurance and Speech / Data Science.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction- Responsible for input into the development of the strategic plans for the Fraud and Authentication product development and roadmap. Responsibility for leading and executing on the developed strategy.
Product Leadership - Responsible for strategic planning for product development activities to create technology for existing and expanded markets/offerings. Provide a clear vision and roadmap for the engineering organization that not only enables Verint to meet market demands but also ensures the development of products that are flexible, scalable, and maintainable. Lead the conversion process from hosted SaaS products to premise software.
SW Engineering Execution - Responsible for strategic planning for product development activities to create technology for existing and expanded markets/offerings. Manage overall software development process including SW architecture, design, implementation, testing, and packaging for both on- premise and hosted solution offerings. Deliver high quality enterprise-grade solutions under aggressive timelines and within budget.
Research and Data Science - Lead and expand the research organization that develops the machine learning and data science algorithms core to product offerings.
Organizational Leadership - Lead and expand the team that spans product engineering, research and data science, quality assurance. Create processes, infrastructure, and a culture that enables a geographically disperse team to collaborate effectively and creates sustained effective technological engineering across multiple competing product initiatives. Full responsibility for the development team in the Fraud and Authentication group. Work closely and in partnership with Product Management, Solutions Delivery, and Operations teams.
Executive Leadership - Participate as a key member of the executive team of the Fraud and Authentication practice. Work in collaboration with other executives to define Practice Goals and ensure functional groups within the practice are well aligned.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Set up a culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Manage and grow the Patent Portfolio.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field required;
Has a minimum of 15 years of overall engineering experience in a large organization or functional group including a minimum of 8 years of management and leadership experience;
Experience with agile development methodologies;
Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills;
Experience scaling software solutions to support large-scale enterprise solution deployments;
Experience with scoping large engineering projects and delivering projects on time and within scope; experience in appropriately and effectively allocating assigned resources to meet competing priorities;
Ability to communicate with non-engineering members of the management team, translating business requirements into engineering projects with specific requirements & scope, resources and project timing;
Ability to influence executive leadership;
Track record of hiring, developing and retaining strong teams;
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
Preferred Requirements:
Familiarity developing within the Windows eco-system a plus
Experience and familiarity with the following technologies:
Linux, python, postgresql, messaging (amqp), and java
Big Data software solutions such as Hadoop and Cassandra
Data science technologies, statistical modeling, and machine learning
Experience managing a geographically distributed team of onshore and offshore developers, QA resources and data science resources;
Understanding and experience with fraud analytics and / or GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) markets;
Experience with call center infrastructure in complex enterprise deployments;
Agile SCRUM Master certification a plus
