Job Description:
The mission of Intelink is to provide net-centric information sharing and collaboration capabilities that enable the extended national intelligence enterprise to collaborate in a common shared space. These capabilities focus on delivering web-based services of common concern. These services include content search and discovery, media/file sharing, Intellipedia, a web-based email, instant messaging, self-servicing hosting, and access/authentication services for the shared space environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Manage code base
Update UI
Troubleshoot connection issues
Interface with database and connector
Configuration of Jabber application
Minimal configuration of Tomcat and Apache
Development and adding new features
Debugging code
MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
5 years of experience as a web developer/ software engineer designing high performance, scalable architectures and writing applications in JAVA or working on an equivalent open source project
Must have software development life cycle experience including design, coding, testing and documentation
Must have demonstrable diagnostic and problem solving skills to ensure optimal development environment
Must be able to respond to tier 2 or higher support calls during and outside of normal business hours and weekends if necessary
SECONDARY SKILLS:
Solid background in UNIX programming, TCP/IP networking and knowing REST services
Experience working in a dynamic environment
Ability to communicate effectively
Additional
Qualifications:
Knowledge of MySQL or Oracle is a plus
Knowledge of JAX-RS, Jersey, JPAZ and Tomcat skills is a plus
Knowledge or experience with Jabber is a plus
Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
