Hannah More School''s Project SEARCHis a10 monthemployment training program for seniors in their last year of high school. Other key partners in this exciting initiative include Anne Arundel County Public Schools, DORS (MD Division of Rehabilitation Services), and the Arc of the Central Chesapeake Region. Project SEARCH has grown from one original program site at Cincinnati Children's Hospital to more than 200 sites across 40 states and four countries. Project SEARCH is located at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis (Anne Arundel County).
Project SEARCH is looking to hire a Teacher!The Teacher provides leadership to the Project SEARCH program and works with DORS, AACPS and the ARC to make students eligible for services before the school year begins. The Teacher is responsible for planning and providing daily classroom instruction in employability skills. The Teacher is also responsible for behavioral management of assigned students. The Teacher works with business liaisons, ARC and department managers to develop internship sites, write job descriptions and plan for necessary job modifications. The Teacher meets daily with job coaches to discuss intern progress. The Teacher regularly meets with business liaisons, managers and peer mentors to discuss intern strengths and challenges. The Teacher helps plan Project SEARCH events (orientation, information sessions and graduation) and also provides internal and external marketing for businesses and the community (i.e. Lunch and Learn events, newsletter articles, tours, etc.). The Teacher is also responsible for developing a portfolio for each student that documents each work site, skills acquired, evaluations, letters of recommendation, etc. The hired individual will demonstrate knowledge of age-specific student needs in instruction and create an appropriate learning environment in the classroom setting.
Requires:Bachelor''s degree and Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification in at time of appointment and continually during tenure in position. Must hold (or be eligible to apply for) MSDE certification in special education. Three months related teaching/vocational experience required. Experience with children/adolescents with special needs strongly preferred. Vocational training experienceandcurrent MSDE certification in both secondary and special education strongly preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
