As the Senior Software Engineer will be developing applications on a global scale to help the Aviation industry move undisrupted.
You will be responsible for the messaging data in transit to ensure the on-time arrival for you, your friends and families, and all passengers flying around the globe.
The applications you will be designing will support over 1,500 aviation customers, transmitting over 75 million messages per day across the Aviation community.
We are looking for a self-starter and a team player with an ambitious and diverse technical background to support and contribute to this awesome mission.

YOU will play a pivotal role in this high growth and high visibility area of the Collins Aerospace company.

You will perform full life-cycle software development including designing system and software solutions; supporting implementation, integration, acceptance testing and deployment.
You will lead highly technical software engineering teams on challenging software upgrades and features.
You will provide analysis for the decomposition of technical system level requirements into sub-system software requirements and design.
You will support a large-scale global aviation network infrastructure with heavy design focus in redundancy, high availability, and security.
You will develop software for air-ground/ground-ground communication, positional data processing, transport/routing/link layer protocols, radio interfaces, hardware/OS customization, and remote deployment capabilities.
You will collaborate closely with system engineering/performance, network engineering, system acceptance and field operation teams.
You will provide support for product deployment, field monitoring, troubleshooting and operator trainings.
You will participate in lab/field integration and industry activities with avionics vendors, Satellite Service Providers, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) from domestic US, Europe and Asia.
You will utilize a mature ISO/SEI CMMI compliant process to produce all work products.
You will support project leadership, project planning, execution, monitoring and closure activities.
You will develop technical product roadmaps depicting the steps anticipated to migrate from the current state to the targeted future state.

Employee Referral EligibleThe salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
