Senior Conference Program Curator

GENERAL SUMMARY

In this role, you will be a major contributor in executing NIC conferences which are the premier conferences for the senior housing and care industry offering an extraordinary attendee experience. You will develop highly engaging conference themes, formats, and sessions for three annual conferences, working with C-Suite volunteers serving on Program Committees, by using your superb listening skills and ability to translate their ideas into conference session design and content. You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills to execute the conference programs including speaker recruitment and preparation, development of session planning guides and logistics and requirements. You will work with the marketing team to produce program related marketing deliverables. Location:
The position is located at the NIC Offices in Annapolis MD but can be hybrid within a two-hour driving or train commute of the office.


IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:


  • Collaborate with C-suite volunteer leaders on development of program content and session curation.
  • Support speaker recruitment and manage execution of applicable agreements and speaker contracts through agency or person-to-person.
  • Work with speakers to coordinate logistics- lodging, registration, and preparation readiness for presentations.
  • Develop presentation guidelines/due dates for deliverables and ensure proper communication with and compliance by speakers.
  • Manage pre-conference program timetable to complete program format, sessions, speaker confirmations, and program materials to support conference marketing campaign.
  • Develop program agenda and program-related deliverables.
  • Development of program-related communications and collateral working with the marketing team.
  • Manage onsite program logistics in collaboration with production and logistics partners and serve as primary liaison to speakers onsite.
  • Administer surveys to conference attendees, compile, analyze, and interpret attendee feedback and historical data to facilitate planning and development of future program content.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Commitment to NIC's mission, values, and vision.
  • Five years of experience curating conference sessions at premier industry conferences with accompanying portfolio.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with teams and independently.
  • Superb listening skills and ability to translate C-suite volunteer ideas into conference session design and content.
  • Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with C-suite volunteers and earn their respect.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present to groups.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated strength in decision-making and problem solving both day-to-day and onsite at events.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 2 years' experience working with C-suite volunteers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving older adults and communities.
  • Experience in the senior housing and care industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience in creating and administering electronic surveys.
  • Demonstrated experience networking with LinkedIn.
