Responsibilities:
Patient Registration and Check-In:
Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Efficiently handle patient registration, ensuring accuracy of personal demographic, insurance eligibility, and payment collection if necessary.
Coordinate patient check-in processes and assist with any necessary paperwork.
Communicate with medical team members when patients arrive to decrease the average wait time for patients.
Appointment Scheduling:
Manage providers' schedules and appointment scheduling and ensure optimal utilization of clinic resources while allowing for access to care for patients.
Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions including address, phone number, suggested arrival time, steps for online check-in, etc.
Patient Communication:
Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, addressing and triaging patient calls.
Collaborate with medical staff to relay messages and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Informatively assist new patients who are seeking information about our practice.
Manage a multi-line phone system as patients call to schedule appointments, ask questions, and follow up with their medical team and provider.
Customer Service Excellence:
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, maintaining a positive and compassionate demeanor at all times.
Handle patient concerns with empathy and escalate issues as necessary.
Maintaining Patient Records:
Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Assistant patients in obtaining medical records if necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required 1-2 years of experience as a Patient Services Representative or in a similar role within a medical setting, or specialized physician practice is preferred.
Familiarity with gynecology terminology and procedures is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, EPIC is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
