GRADE ASTD11 LOCATION OF POSITION Annapolis, MD POSITION DUTIES Would you like to work for the State of Maryland? This position is steps away from the Governor's Mansion.

The main purpose of this position is to assist the Operations Manager of the Taxpayer Services Division with administrative, and procurement functions.
Write, review and submit purchase orders, requisitions and invoices to Section Manager.
Assist in creation and updates to operations manual, quick reference guide and COOP Plan.
Ability to accept and respond to calls from vendors, taxpayers, and division employees.
PLEASE NOTE:
Must be willing and able to work Monday through Friday in a full-time capacity in the Taxpayer Services Division's Annapolis Call Center.
Required hours are 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm.
Leave may be limited during certain times of the year due to high volume events, projects, or special assignments.
Evening and weekend work may be required especially during peak times of the year.
Employees are unable to prepare tax returns outside of the requirements of the job or work for private accounting services.
This position is designated as emergency essential personnel.
MINIMUM
Qualifications Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience:
Four years performing secretarial work or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.
S.
Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
For education obtained outside of the U.
S.
, you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Receiving supply orders.
Preparing purchase orders.
Writing, reviewing, and updating manuals.
Experience with personal computers and software applications (MS Office).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard on a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
