Senior IT Business Analyst - Master Data & Product Lifecycle Management - Remote

Your Opportunity The Sr. Business Analyst, Master Data and Product Lifecyle Management position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the usage of Smithfield's Master Data Management (MDM), Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. The master data landscape is heavily focused on SAP master data, with a mix of other systems. The successful candidate will provide expertise in master data management across multiple master data domains, with an initial focus on products/materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting projects to enhance Smithfield's Master Data Management processes and capabilities. This will include interfacing with members of the Master Data Management team, business stakeholders, and technical development team members. The role will have primary responsibility for elicitation and definition of business requirements supporting master data, PLM and PIM systems. The role will also have primary responsibility for mapping current and future state business process pertaining to product master data and product lifecycle management. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, IT Delivery, Commercial and will coordinate to prioritize and plan system enhancements and implementations. Core Responsibilities Subject Matter Expert in workflows, functionality, and roles & responsibilities within the internal business system Translate functional and business requirements for MDM, PLM and PIM solutions into actionable requirements; ability to take complex processes and document into understandable artifacts. Write test scripts, map requirements to test scripts and prepare requirements traceability matrix (RTM) Develop user guides and training documentation and support change management and solution adoption Execute system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) Analyze current master data management processes and make recommendations for improvement based on Smithfield needs and professional business knowledge Assist in the identification and root cause analysis of bottlenecks in current master data processes Partner with IT Delivery Manager, Business Stakeholders, Master Data Team members and Continuous Improvement Team to redesign systems and processes to increase operational efficiency and speed; conduct impact assessments Provide system administration for Smithfield's Master Data Management toolset, including setup of user profiles and notifications Perform analysis of various Master Data objects to support data quality improvements and mass updates Assist stakeholders in the creation of ad-hoc Master Data reports to support business decision making Support MDM Team members and other stakeholders in the proper use of our Master Data Management toolset Collaborate with stakeholders and technical team to prioritize and group system changes into planned releases The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 5
years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. A minimum of 5
years of experience in design of processes and systems pertaining to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Information Management (PIM) A minimum of 5
years of experience in design of processes and systems pertaining to material master data in an SAP-centric systems landscape Highly proficient using Visio; excellent process mapping and gap analysis skills Knowledge of process management and a history of improving processes. Meeting facilitation and presentation skills Demonstrated experience synchronizing master data with external services and business partners Well-developed problem-solving skills; highly self-motivated and adaptive Deep knowledge of SAP Master Data with a focus on materials High proficiency with data analysis supporting master data quality and consistency Demonstrated expertise in the design and operation of both in-house and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) master data management, governance and PLM tools Strong ability to communicate with IT developers, system users, and managerial stakeholders to align system development activities with business priorities Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. Up to 25% travel required.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Data Science & Machine Learning, Business AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
