Century Engineering, Inc. is seeking a responsible candidate for a Program Manager opening in Anne Arundel County supporting the County's Infrastructure Management Division. The successful candidate will manage a team to evaluate, develop, coordinate and manage multiyear programs to maintain the County's roadway-related infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight and direction to a team of individuals who perform program management tasks. Supervise and support team as they investigate, evaluate and coordinate infrastructure repairs based on field evaluations for roadway maintenance and resurfacing, sidewalks, curb and gutters, guardrails and other County assets within the County's right of way. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines. Frequently travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of experience in program management or project management in Public Works and/or Highway industry. Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related field. Experience in the procurement and administration of construction contracts is required. Experience in personnel management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service skills, either in-person, via telephone or via email, including experience dealing with all levels of customers, including private citizens, community leaders and elected officials. Strong computer skills, including e-mail and formal correspondence as well as good file management practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a multi-year capital improvement program. Ability to coordinate the development and maintenance of, and provide regular reporting on, a multi-year capital improvement budget. Ability to provide management level reporting on program-level accomplishments and performance metrics. Knowledge of practices for preventative maintenance and reconstruction of HMA Pavements. Knowledge of concrete construction, including sidewalks and curb and gutters. Knowledge of guardrail construction policies and practices. Knowledge of ADA construction policies and procedures as it relates to the highway industry for curb ramps, sidewalks, and APS. Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices. PE license in Maryland, or the ability to attain a PE License within six months a plus. Attainment of additional certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) a plus. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Program ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
