NRCS is recruiting students to participate in the Pathways Internship Program. This position is expected to be filled approximately May 2014. Position to be filled is Student Trainee (PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT). Therefore, to be considered, students must indicate they are pursuing or are enrolled in any of the following academic programs or related fields: Business Administration; Business Management or other directly related degree or certificate program.
The incumbent serves as a Student Trainee (Program Support Assistant) in the Maryland State Office. Students must meet the requirements of the Pathways Program to be considered.
Eligibility for the Pathways Internship Program:
Student Trainees must be in good academic standing, as defined by the institution they are attending and must meet the definition of a student throughout the duration of their internship appointment. Student Trainees who need to complete less than the equivalent of half an academic course-load immediately prior to graduating is still considered a student for purposes of this Program.
You must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which you are enrolled).
NRCS may non-competitively convert an intern to a career conditional or TERM appointment within 120 calendar days after completing educational requirements and Pathways Program specifics. Conversion is not guaranteed and is based on the need of the agency.
